Surveys Sent!!

Hello my wonderful backers! Kickstarter uses surveys for us to gather information on where to send the finished product. We finally are getting toward the final stages of production and ready to send them out! As soon as we get your information we can send out the finished product. Please check your email soon and fill out the information so that we know where to send them to. 

I have been working hard after school and before school to create my product. It is exciting to me to be this close to sending them out. One thing I can say is that it is a lot more work than I anticipated. Plus, thinking through the process and what I would need has been hard work as well. 

My family has been very supportive as the project has been worked on all over the house from the kitchen table to the office to my bedroom. My little sisters have taken my thread and made messes countless times. My dad has helped to cut and sew and my mom has taken me to the store to buy materials to build the card belts. It has taken a lot of time with a lot of us here at my house, but it is exciting and we are anxious to see what you think!

I am looking forward to sending them as soon as we can. Please send your surveys back quickly!

Work in Progress!

What a TON OF WORK!!!   The funding finally came from Kickstarter! Yay! That means I am in full production working on sewing cardbelts and getting them ready to be shipped to you! I spent time over Christmas with my grandma and great aunt (both of who are excellent seamstresses) and they helped me learn to run a sewing machine that we found on craigslist.org for only 25 dollars! It is very exciting to work on my business every day. We should be ready for shipping soon. HOW EXCITING is that?

We are so incredibly lucky to have our goal not only reached but exceeded all the way to $830 worth of your backing and support! We wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of the amazing support, comments and suggestions we received from our backers. It is wonderful to know that a whole community of online, like-minded people were willing to get behind my project and help put some legs under our efforts. 

With the funding we received and the support we are still receiving, we are excited to say that we will be able to start production within the next 7 business days and hope to be shipping product to your door within the next 10 business days! 100% FUNDED !!!!

Well... we did it! We got 100% funded on November 28th. It was been a lot of fun to watch funding come in a true "crowdsource" platform. Some funding has come from all corners of the country and even throughout the globe.

We thought the funding would be largely accomplished in part by family and friends, and while we did receive a significant pledge from family and friends, it was the steady trickle of other individuals near and far that helped us reach the goal.

As of today we have 8 days left until the project reaches completion. We currently sit at exactly 50 pledgers at $604. Our goal was $500 and we are super excited to have reached it but we have a question on the back of our minds... would it be possible to reach $750? or even $1000? It would make our experience that much better and help to launch Tanners business with a little more backing.

If you are thinking about backing his project, now is the time to step in and make it happen!

One last final push for the final week of our Kickstarter project. Jump on board and help us spread the word for doubling our goal in 7 days!

Card Belt: The Idea Phase

Tanner has a great idea to replace the "funny" rubber band I use to keep track of my credit and debit cards when traveling. He calls it his card belt and with come clever creativity he gave me what I now carry around everywhere I go.

I actually use and like it because it is small and simple and extremely easy to start using. It holds up well as I have traveled with it across the US from New York to Arizona and many places in between. I like to have my payment cards easily accessible for the gas pump, dinner appointments and any other time! My wallet was too big to put in my dress slacks when going to meetings and I started using a rubber band to just carry my ID, two credit cards and a debit card. I eventually started carrying the gas card, Costco card and a little cash all in the Card Belt. My wallet still goes with me out of town, but is now safely zipped away in my bag or brief case.

Since it is being used everyday and sits in my front pocket everyday I figured it would start to tear apart or break down. Just the opposite has happened. I have shocked at how well it holds together and has not had any "structural issues" to speak of. The size is perfect and it looks professional when I pull it out at a sales lunch or business meeting. 

I am impressed with Tanner and his creativity. I encourage his entrepreneurial spirit and support his efforts to make his first "business" successful. We are going to put his project on Kickstarter and try to raise funds to create more and spread the word. Check it out on Kickstarter and show some support!!
